Laparobotic Kidney Removal
When I had severe pain in my side I found out that it was a kidney stone.
Upon going to the hospital and having them find out it was a kidney stone they also told me there was a growth on my kidney that needed to be looked at further by a urologist. I followed up with a urologist who was on call that night and he told me the good news that it looked like the kidney needed to come out. It was suspicious, the size, the growth, the appearance and the location that they though it would be best to move the entire kidney. I went to see a total of three doctors including the one I saw to get other opinions for something this big. Dr. Miller happened to be the third doctor I was able to make an appointment with. I did a lot of research and I did come up with his name and his history and his knowledge of laparoscopic surgery. So the day of my appointment with him I was very impressed with He had a warm smile and a great personality, explained the procedure, what I would expect during the procedure after and maybe up to a year after. He answered all my qu8eations and explained everything with a sense of humor but yet thoroughly.
They did remove right kidney wit a laparoscopic procedure, which I’m a firm believer in. I don’t exactly know exactly how everything went as far as the logistics of it but I know I have had no problem. I was out of the hospital the next morning, went home and recuperated for about six weeks. The main thing I was just tired a lot, I felt great. I’ve been back for the last year for two CT follow-up scans. Both of which have been great, I feel good.
I’m very cautious of my health. I try to take a little bit better care of myself and truly feel blessed that Dr. Miller was my surgeon for this procedure.
